Camping on the Old Canada Road Scenic Byway in Maine may be a surprise if you are expecting rough rocky coastlines and the spray of the ocean. Instead, inland Maine provides a calming, secluded atmosphere much like the mountainous regions in the West--public and private campgrounds are near lakes and ponds and surrounded by evergreens.
