November 8, 2006 - Logan Ranger District Forest Roads to Close Nov. 15

District Ranger Rob Cruz announced today that Forest roads and gates on the Logan Ranger District of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest will be closed for the winter as of November 15, 2006. Routes that will be closed to all motorized vehicles include:

  • Green Canyon (FR 050)
  • Smithfield Canyon (FR 049)
  • High Creek Canyon (FR 048)
  • Card (FR 024)

Routes that will be closed to motorized wheeled vehicles and open to over-the-snow machines when there is adequate snow base include:

  • Cowley Canyon/Herd Hollow (FR 047)
  • Temple Fork/Pole Line (FR 007)
  • Left Hand Fork of Blacksmiths Fork (FR 245)
  • Dip Hollow (FR 056)
  • Providence Canyon above the Quarry (FR 022)
  • Millville Canyon (FR 168)
  • Franklin Basin (FR 006)

All trailers and vehicles need to be removed by the 14th. Forest roads are closed seasonally for road surface protection.
